Donna has worked with mothers and babies for 32 years and is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
She has studied newborn developmental behaviours and has experience working with premature and sick infants which gives her a depth of understanding to help you and your family.
Donna has been a registered nurse and midwife since 1992, predominantly working in women’s health and the birthing suites.
When Donna is not helping to empower mothers and babies to reach their optimal breastfeeding experience, she lives on a farm with her husband and three children.

Make an appointment
A postnatal appointment with Donna is suitable for anyone who needs help to establish successful breastfeeding. Donna will work with you by understanding your breastfeeding history and work with you to develop a plan to help you to reach your optimal breastfeeding experience. Initial appointments will be face-to-face with the opportunity for follow up appointments to be either face-to-face or telehealth.
An antenatal appointment with Donna is suitable for anyone who has known health issues, previous breast surgery, complications of pregnancy such as gestation diabetes or pre-eclampsia or previous breastfeeding issues.
Donna will discuss your breastfeeding goals and help with understanding the basics of breastfeeding. You will go through what to expect in the first few hours, days and weeks as you start your breastfeeding journey and help you learn the techniques for antenatal expression if you wish.
